The City of Plainwell has applied for associate status in the Cool Cities Michigan Main Street program, administered by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. This downtown revitalization initiative will provide up to three years of training and networking opportunities for local businesses and municipal leaders. (April 14, 2008)
A partnership among the cities of Allegan, Otsego and Plainwell will receive a grant from the EPA to pay for preparation and maintenance of a brownfields inventory in those communities and to prioritize sites for assessment. (April 14, 2008)
The City of Plainwell's Flower Program is gratefully accepting donations to help fund the beautiful plants and flowers that will adorn beds, baskets, and planters in the parks, bridges, and downtown area.
